THRIVE is a proprietary fleet planning and transition modeling tool developed solely by CALSTART. It has been designed to assist organizations in evaluating vehicle replacement scenarios, understanding fleet electrification opportunities, and planning infrastructure needs. The tool is made available as part of CALSTART's technical assistance offerings and is intended for internal, non-commercial use by participating organizations.

Confidentiality and Data Usage

All data entered in the THRIVE tool, including fleet information, operational parameters, and cost variables, will be treated as strictly confidential.

  • No data collected through this tool will be made public or shared with any third party without the express written consent of the participating organization.
  • The tool's outputs, including charts, cost projections, and replacement scenarios, are intended solely for use by authorized representatives of the organization using the tool.
  • CALSTART will use collected data only for the purpose of providing technical analysis and support related to the fleet transition planning process.

Modeling Assumptions and Limitations

The results generated by THRIVE are based on statistical analysis and modeling techniques that incorporate several generalized assumptions and averaged datasets derived from CALSTART’s internal expertise and industry best practices. These assumptions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Fuel economy benchmarks for conventional and electric vehicles
  • Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)
  • Incentive availability (federal, state, and local)
  • Estimated maintenance and utility costs
  • Vehicle lifecycles and usage patterns

While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this data, results are indicative in nature and may not reflect real-world outcomes. Actual vehicle performance, cost savings, or utility rates may vary depending on site-specific variables, operational conditions, market volatility, and user input quality. Detailed assumptions and data sources used in each section of the tool are made transparent and can be reviewed directly within the tool interface or in the associated methodology documentation/report.

User Responsibility and Limitations of Use

Users of the THRIVE tool are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of the data they enter into the system. The tool is not intended to replace formal engineering design, procurement decisions, or legal/financial analysis.

  • Use of this tool is at the user's own discretion and risk.
  • CALSTART does not warrant or guarantee specific performance outcomes and shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of the tool or its outputs.

Intellectual Property

The THRIVE tool, including its design, algorithms, visualizations, and associated documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of CALSTART.

  • No portion of the tool may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.
  • Access to the tool does not grant users any rights to the source code, backend architecture, or proprietary data models.
